A PAN card is issued under the Income Tax Act, 1961 and carries a unique 10-digit alphanumeric code. This code is computer-generated and unique to the cardholder and valid for life. As per the Income Tax Act, parents or guardians of a minor can apply for a PAN card on their behalf. Minimum age to apply for PAN card is 18 years. However, parents or guardians of persons below 18 years of age can also apply for PAN on their behalf. To apply for a Minor PAN (Permanent Account Number) card in India, you can follow these steps:

Fill out the application form: Complete the form with accurate information. Provide details such as the minor's name, date of birth, and parent/guardian information.

Photo will not come on minor PAN card. The photo in the PAN card will have the name "MINOR" on it. After 18 years of applicant's photo will be updated by CSF(Change request).
